4/15/2013: When It Comes To Events Like This, People Must Put Their Differences Aside

Hello everyone. Instead of me doing my usual stuff, I decided to make an outside the sports blog instead. Here we go.

Outside of Sports

Earlier today, a tragedy occurred in Boston, Massachusetts where 2 people died and many were left injured as a bomb blast went off during the Boston Marathon near the finish line. This was also a holiday in the city of Boston called "Patriot's Day". Here is a video to share more information:

UPDATE: According to Associated Press' Twiiter: "RT @AP: BREAKING: Boston police: At least 3 people killed in marathon bombing"

That video is from Bloomberg Television Network. Various news sources have covered this incident throughout the day, and was trending throughout social media. Luckily, there was medical staff at the marathon site to treat the people who were in danger.

Now, what I want to say for the people of New York City and Boston to put their differences aside. What I mean is that there has been a rivalry between the two cities when it comes to bragging rights. This rivalry also has an impact in sports such as the Yankees/Red Sox rivalry of MLB, Jets/Patriots of NFL, Knicks/Celtics of NBA, and to a small extent the NY Rangers/Bruins in the NHL. Out of respect, please keep the derogatory comments to yourself and say nothing at all. Instead, show support for each other since Boston has given us support and respect during 9/11, and we must give support in return.

For those who follow the NBA, we all know that the Knicks and Celtics will face each other in the 1st round of the 2012-13 NBA Playoffs. Keep in mind, this is just a game and we shouldn't take this seriously. Wins and losses in sports can be replaced, but lives can't. What I recommend to the teams of the Knicks and Celtics (if they are reading this) is when they meet on Saturday, embrace each other before the game and not trash talk at all. They need positive messages in this time.

Pray for Boston everyone

4/5/2013- Red Sox def Yankees 2 out of 3, Mets def Padres 2 out of 3, Preview of WrestleMania 29

Hello everyone, I hope you had a great week! Let's cut to the chase, shall we? Here we go!

MLB
As the Yankees lost their 1st game of the season, they also lost the 2nd game of the season to the Red Sox. However, they managed to avoid a sweep by getting their 1st win of the season. For the Mets, they won the 1st 2 games of the season, but failed to sweep the Padres as they lost.

The Yankees lost the 1st game of the series against Detroit, and The Mets lost the 1st game against Miami in the 1st game of the series. The Yankees will continue their series against Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park, while the Mets will continue their series against the Miami Marlins at home for the weekend.

WWE
WrestleMania 29 will take place this Sunday at MetLife Stadium at East Rutherford, NJ. Here is a video of the WM 29 card lineup:

That's all I have to say for now. Have a good weekend and enjoy WrestleMania!

4/1/2013- Yankees lose home opener, Mets win home opener, final Raw before WrestleMania 29

Hello everyone! I hope all of you had a good weekend. Let's cut to the chase, shall we? Here we go!

MLB
Baseball is back! That means that the games matter. Both the New York Yankees and the New York Mets opened at home earlier today. While things didn't go well for the Yankees as they lost 8-2 to the Boston Red Sox, things went well for the Mets as they won 11-2 against the San Diego Padres. For the Yankees fans, don't panic. This is just Game 1 of the 2013 MLB Season. There is still a long way to go.

The Yankees will continue their series against Boston on Wednesday, and the Mets will continue their series against the Padres on Wednesday. Note, the Thursday game for the Mets is a matinee game. Therefore, the Mets will have the afternoon to themselves, while the Yankees are on primetime.

WWE
Tonight is the final Raw before WrestleMania. This is going to be a big one. Tune in and find out what will happen going forward to WrestleMania 29.

That's all I have to say for now. Have a good one!
