6/29/2011- Mid-Week Blog: review of WWE Raw, ROH Best in the World iPPV results, UFC on Versus 6/26 results, more

Alright then, its the 2nd edition of the mid-week blog, as today is Wednesday. In this blog, I will be discussing this past Monday Night's Raw, and give more information about ROH Best in the World iPPV. I will list the results of the recent UFC on Versus, and hype the event that is occurring this weekend for MLB. You guess it, the Subway Series and the Crosstown Classic. So, lets get things started.

WWE
Earlier in the week, WWE had Raw Roulette. This meant that all the stipulations were decided based on a Roulette Wheel for all matches that aired for the night. Shawn Michaels guest starred in that episode, mainly to promote his new show on the Outdoor Channel called Shawn Michaels MacMillan River Adventures. If you are interested in that show, check your local listings. Also, DDP (Diamond Dallas Page) cameoed to plug the "Best of WCW Monday Nitro" DVD. Overall, the show was much better than last week's episode and the match between Sin Cara and Evan Bourne did not disappoint at all. However, what really stole the show was C.M. Punk's promo. It wasn't your average, ordinary monologue because CM Punk was basically "breaking the fourth wall" as he mentioned Ring of Honor, New Japan Pro Wrestling, Paul Heyman, Brock Lesnar, and his good friend Colt Cabana. I thought it was a great promo, until WWE cut off his microphone mid sentence and USA Network ending the show by cliffhanger ending. I posted a clip of the promo here:

Note: Don't ask me why Punk is wearing a Stone Cold T-Shirt because I don't know why, and WWE never explained it.

As you may know, next week's WWE Raw was taped after this week's Raw aired live. WWE SmackDown taped their Friday show at their usual Tuesday tapings yesterday, but will also tape next Friday's show today. The reason why because WWE will be going on a overseas tour next week so they taped their TV shows in advance to focus on the live events only.

ROH
If you never heard of the pro-wrestling promotion Ring of Honor, then I will post a link to give you guys more info on it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ring_of_Honor . ROH had a Internet pay per view that was held Sunday afternoon called Best in the World. The main event was between Eddie Edwards the ROH Champion and the challenger Davey Richards. Here are the results of ROH Best in the World iPPV.

2. Jay Lethal def. "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett
3. Homicide def. Rhino in a No Holds Barred Match
4. Michael Elgin def. Steve Corino

6. WGTT (Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin) def. The Briscoes, Kings of Wrestling (Claudio Castagnoli and Chris Hero), and All Night Express (Rhett Titus and Kenny King) in a four way elimination match to retain the ROH World Tag Team Championship
7. Davey Richards def. Eddie Edwards to capture the ROH World Championship

From what I've heard, the PPV had strong reviews. If you missed it, the replay is available on GoFightLive.TV. I will most likely order the replay, and I recommend you to order it as well, since I have seen ROH during it's days on HDNet and trust me this is something you want to invest in.

UFC
UFC had a live show on Versus called UFC on Versus 4. Originally, the main event was to be Marquardt vs Johnson, but because Marquardt did not receive medical clearance to fight, he was not allowed to compete. Anthony Johnson, however was injured so he was replaced by Rick Story. Since Marquardt's medical issues were considered to be very serious, UFC promoter Dana White terminated Marquardt's contract. However, White didn't go to specifics why Marquardt was released. Overall, there were 11 fights on the card, but only 4 were televised on Versus. Here are the results for the televised portion:

1. Matt Mitrione def. Christian Morecraft via KO in Round 2
2. Matt Brown def. John Howard  via unanimous decision
3. Charlie Brenneman def. Rick Story (replacing the Marquardt vs Johnson fight) via unanimous decision
4. Cheick Kongo def. Pat Barry via KO in Round 1

MLB
The Yankees faced off against the Milwaukee Brewers and defeated them yesterday 12-2. The Mets traveled to Detroit and defeated the Tigers 14-3. Those were impressive victories that both the Yankees and the Mets made. The Yankees will continue their series against Milwaukee today and tomorrow while the Mets will continue against Detroit today and tomorrow as well.

As you may know, the Subway Series and the Crosstown Classic will be occurring this weekend as the Yankees travel to Queens to face the Mets while the Chicago White Sox will travel to Wrigley to face the Cubs. Those two interleague series I would consider them "must see".

On the next blog post, I will give a review of UFC on Versus 4, while giving a preview and tale of the tape for both Subway Series and Crosstown Classic. Have a nice day!

6/26/2011- BREAKING NEWS: Davey Richards is the NEW ROH Champion!!!!, Yankees def. Colorado 2 out of 3, Mets def. Texas 2 out of 3, Bellator Summer Series, more

Welcome! Thank you for taking the time to read my Sunday edition of the blog. Before I go any further, I must share this first. Your winner and NEW Ring of Honor World Champion..... Davey Richards!!!!!! I will discuss the results of ROH Best in the World in a later blog post.

MLB News
Over the weekend, the Yankees head home and hosted the Colorado Rockies in a 3 game series. After a loss on Friday, the Yankees managed to defeat Colorado yesterday and today. The Mets also had the same fate as well as they lost to Texas Rangers on Friday, but recovered yesterday and today as well. Therefore, the Mets made the trip worth it to Arlington, TX where it was triple digit weather down south. Both teams will have off tomorrow and later this week the Yankees will face the Milwaukee Brewers while the Mets make another road trip to Detroit to face the Tigers later this week as well.

MMA
As you may know, Bellator Fighting Championships has started their Summer Series yesterday. The difference between the Summer Series and a regular Bellator season is that the Summer Series only has 3 fights and is televised once a month. That means the remainder 2 shows of the summer will take place in July and August respectively. Chronologically in terms of events produced by Bellator, yesterday's event was Bellator 46. Here are the results for Bellator 46:

1. Ronnie Mann def. Adam Schindler via KO near the end of the 1st round
I thought that was a great way to start out the televised portion of the event. Ronnie Mann was very impressive in that bout.

2. Nazareno Malagarie def. Jacob DeVree via Submission in Round 3
After two attempts at the guillotine submission Malagarie made to DeVree, the third attempt proved to be successful.

3. Marlon Sandro def. Genair Da Silva via Split Decision
Both of these guys were from Brazil and also had an upbringing where they were raised from a poor neighborhood. However, Sandro's experience proved to be a benefit for him as he spent 3 years fighting in Japan (and when someone practices combat sports in Japan, you know the rest)

4. Pat Curran def. Luis Palomino via Submission in Round 1
Good conclusion of a fight event though it was a short main event.

Overall, it was a great card. In my opinion, the fights ended a lot sooner than I expected. Which is why I understood why MTV 2 stretched it out a little with non-MMA segments in between to fill up the air time.

Bellator also posted a video, which was their "Highlight of the Night"

Other News
As you may know, last week's Monday Night Raw, there were glitches in their specialty show called "Power to the People". The match between Evan Bourne and Mason Ryan was originally scheduled to be Evan Bourne vs Sin Cara, but due to the glitches mentioned... well you know the rest. WWE acknowledged it later in the week and as a way to apologize the fans, tomorrow's episode of Raw will feature an interbrand match between  Raw's Evan Bourne vs SmackDown's  Sin Cara. Personally, I find it odd that WWE is advertising their cruiserweights ahead of time for Raw since WWE prefers to promote their heavyweights. Nonetheless, I have nothing against it and will be looking forward to the match.

6/23/2011- Part 2 of Summer 2011 Blog (3rd Anniversary since OBHS Graduation, Yankees Doubleheader, Crosstown Classic, review of WWE Raw)

Hello everybody. I did say on Tuesday that I would continue the 2nd part of the First Day of Summer Blog yesterday, but due to an emotional rollercoaster that I had yesterday, I didn't type the blog. Anyways, I will continue Part 2 with the review of Monday Night Raw, Yankees Doubleheader, and the conclusion to Part 1 of the Crosstown Classic that occured in the city of Chicago. I will also talk about 6/23/2008 since today marks the 3rd anniversary of when I graduated Old Bridge High School.

WWE Raw earlier this week was a 3 hour Raw which was called "Power to the People". It was also the fallout to the Capital Punishment PPV. Power to the People was mainly about the matches and their opponents/stipulations being decided by the fans via text message. The Diva's Title match was decent with Kelly Kelly winning the title at the end. Other matches included Mason Ryan vs Evan Bourne, Kane vs Mark Henry in an arm wrestling match, and so on and so forth. The hits of the show were the US Title match 2 out of 3 falls match, triple threat match to determine the #1 Contendership for the WWE Championship, and the 6-man elimination tag team match. It was announced that next week will be Raw Roulette hailing from Las Vegas. WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels will be the special guest star of next week's Raw.

Since the Yankees had their game postponed on Tuesday due to weather conditions, they played a doubleheader against Cincinatti Reds. The afternoon game, the Yankees achieved a victory, but suffered a loss in the primetime game. Therefore Yankees won the series 2 out of 3. The Mets on the other hand recieved a victory last night as they have defeated Oakland in the 13th Inning.

Yankees have the night off until Friday since they will be home to face Colorado during the weekend. Mets will finish their series against Oakland today before heading to Arlington, TX to face the Texas Rangers this weekend.

Part 1 of the Crosstown Classic has concluded with the Chicago White Sox defeating the Chicago Cubs 2 out of 3. I only saw Tuesday's game since  CSN Chicago sports isn't in my market. Tuesday's game had a rain delay in the middle but they were allowed to finish the game.

All right then, I will  talk about June 23rd. As you may know, June 23, 2008 was the day I graduated from Old Bridge High School. I remember the day like it was yesterday. On that day, I woke up at 5:45 AM and for the first time I wasn't angry to wake up for high school. During my time in high school when I had to wake up early for it I was angry since I didn't really enjoy being part of Old Bridge High School. However, this day was no ordinary day as it was graduation day. I got ready with my morning routine, put on my shirt and tie, and had the cap & gown ready. Everyone in my house wanted to take my picture since it was a historic moment. After my dad dropped me off at the high school where I (along with my entire class of 2008) were waiting for a fleet of luxury buses to drop us off at the Sovereign Bank Arena. In my opinion, it should've been done at Madison Square Garden, but then again it wasn't my call. While waiting, I spoke to my friends and acquaintances in what could be the final time I would ever see them. After boarding the bus, I sat there for a 2 hour drive to Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, NJ. Once arrived, we all had to write our names phonetically on an index card since one of the vice principals who goes by the name of Mr. Sasso announced our names individually at the right time. After I got off the bus, I had to stand in line outside of the backstage part of the arena to go in. It was very light rain outside, but thank god it wasn't a heavy downpour. Once arrived, I then went to my seat. While inside, I was looking for my family since I couldn't see them at all, but decided not to worry too much about it since I would see them at the exit. After all the formal ceremonies have been done, the principal, and some board of education members gave a speech. Once called to get our "diplomas" (in reality, those weren't real diplomas inside since all of the students had to pick them up at a later date, but rather they were diploma holders), I had goosebumps all over and saying to myself "I finally made it after all the adversities and stressful situations". When I heard my name, I felt so happy in my life. Several minutes later, the graduation ceremony was over. Everyone in the audience and my graduating class cheered to the loudest extent. Before I exited the arena, I bumped into the school psychologist otherwise known as my mentor Mr. Pellegrino, who was also one of the staff members at the ceremony. I thanked him for all the years he helped me by saying "It's all thanks to you". While exiting the arena, I was talking to my friend Mike for the last time in person since I never saw him after that day. My parents were very happy that I graduated. I went with my family out for lunch at Macaroni Grill since there was time between Graduation and Project Graduation (I'll explain soon). After lunch, I then took a nap and changed to casual clothes for Project Graduation. Project Graduation is a party that took place at a lodge somewhere in Monmouth County that was hosted by the school which happened to take place all night. Once I got back to the school for project graduation, I then signed in to find my pass (although I almost couldn't go since they didn't receive my payment for some reason) I did end up paying some extra money to get in, and then boarded the bus to the lodge. The lodge was tremendous once I arrived. It had a swimming pool, racquetball court, shower, steam room. You name the works. Since this would be the last time I would see anyone from my graduating class, I cherished the moment by taking a lot of pictures (and even got my picture taken with Dev via professional photographer). The funny thing was that I used the film camera. Reason being that I lost my Compact Flash card on my digital camera and wasn't able to get a new one in time for graduation.  Nonetheless, I had a great time since I talked to a lot of people, played a little basketball, and saw a hypnotist that hypnotised some of the people in the room. Once it was all over, I embraced some of my friends I made in high school and told them it won't be the last time we would see each other. That way, I leave the doors open for the future. After I returned to the school, I was picked up by my dad and went home and slept for the majority of the morning.

Overall, I'm glad that I graduated from Old Bridge High School since it wasn't a great place to be since there were not so good memories if I say so myself. Stressful situations often occur and the pressure can make someone leave the school altogether. I've seen people I know who made their departures. Even a close friend of mine I've met in freshman year left because of overabundance of pressure. However, there were some good memories too, but at the end of the day I moved on with my life and have gone on to do bigger and better things.

6/21/2011- First official Blog of Summer 2011- Part 1 (MLB Interleague Competition, Crosstown Classic, MMA put on hold for another year in the state of New York)

Okay, so you have just read the title that this will be a 2-part blog that will continue into tomorrow as well. Also, today is the official first day of summer!!!! Woooo!! I love summer season since it's very beautiful weather, and it's NOT WINTER! I will give a later blog about my favorite summer seasons and give an explanation why they are my favorite.

As you many know, interleague competition is going underway in the world of Major League Baseball. The two teams that I usually talk about are currently playing the "must-see games" as we speak. Over the weekend, the Yankees defeated the Chicago Cubs 2 out of 3 games. The Mets were unfortunate as they were defeated by the Angels 2 out of 3. What surprised me the most was this past edition of ESPN Sunday Night Baseball. During the Sunday game, Nick Swisher hit a home run to give the Yankees a lead and the fans gave him a standing ovation at Wrigley Field. In my mind, it was ??????????? Yet again, Swisher has some popularity in Chicago as his father Steve Swisher played for the Chicago Cubs and Nick played for the Chicago White Sox one season.

Speaking of Chicago, the Crosstown Classic is going on until tomorrow as the Chicago White Sox face off against the Chicago Cubs at U.S. Cellular Field. The Cubs defeated the White Sox yesterday 6-3. One of these teams has an opportunity to win Part 1 of the Crosstown Classic (Part 2 is on 4th of July weekend, the same weekend as the Subway Series)

Yesterday, the Mets had the day off while the Yankees defeated the Cincinnati Reds 5-3. As for tonight, the Mets will face the Oakland Athletics while the Yankees will continue their series against the Reds tonight.

(ESPN Tone Alert)

Wait, just a minute. I received an alert from ESPN ScoreCenter. According to ESPN, because of weather conditions the game that is scheduled for tonight at Cincinnati will be postponed. So tonight's game of Yankees vs Reds has been declared a no-contest.

If you are fortunate enough to get WGN America in your area, tonight's Crosstown Classic game will be broadcast on that channel.

Shifting gears to MMA, it was announced yesterday that the NY Assembly has put the legalization of MMA for the state on hold for another year. To me, that was a little disappointing to hear. If MMA does come to the state of New York, business will definitely pick up for both the city and the entire state. Imagine a UFC event at Madison Square Garden or Nassau Coliseum. A Bellator event at the Manhattan Center. Heck, even imagine any MMA event in Yankee Stadium or Citi Field. Reality Check, this won't happen until NY sanctions it.

6/15/2011- Mid Week Blog- review of WWE All-Star Night, Yankees, Mets, Reasons why I haven't brought up Football yet

Hello everyone, this is the first mid-week blog as today is Wednesday and of course that is the middle of the week. If it turns out to be a success, I might do it more often. In this edition of the blog, I will be giving my review of WWE Raw's 3 Hour Special called "All-Star Night", and the stats of the New York Yankees, and the New York Mets. Also, I have mentioned before that football a.k.a. "gridiron" or  "American football" will be mentioned in the blog, but so far I haven't mentioned it yet and I will give my reasons why.

(Note: I found out through my blog stats that I have readers from outside North America so I have to give the proper word for them so they don't get confused with Association Football/Soccer)

WWE All Star Night was just your typical Monday Night RAW that was expanded to 3 hours and featured Stone Cold Steve Austin as the general manager for the night. It had performers from both Raw and SmackDown featured that night. In addition, Roddy Piper made a guest appearance for the segment "Piper's Pit" which featured the guests The Miz and Alex Riley. The opening matches were decent, in which one of them had Daniel Bryan in a 6-man tag match. I put SAP mode for the audio as I didn't want to listen to Michael Cole's bantering of Daniel Bryan. I can say that it wasn't that bad hearing Carlos Cabrera and Hugo Savinovich doing commentary as opposed to Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler. The 2nd hour was okay, just the post match segment which featured the fan-favorite divas doing the "can-can" was unnecessary. The main event of John Cena vs CM Punk was really good and the crowd at Nassau Colisseum was heavily interested in it as the chants of "Let's go Cena.... Cena Sucks" were much louder than usual. At the end of the episode, next week's RAW will be called "Power to the People" as fans will vote for the stipulations the performers will be facing in. It's similar to Cyber Sunday or Viewer's Choice Raw from last year. I hope that this year's Viewer's Choice Raw doesn't under perform like last year.

Shifting gears to baseball, the Yankees had a great recovery over the weekend as they defeated Cleveland 3 times in a row, but let's not forget that it was a 4 game series so Cleveland got a victory on Monday. Same goes with the Mets during their series against Pittsburgh, but both teams traded victories making it 2-2 on both sides. Yesterday, the Yankees have faced the Texas Rangers in a rematch from 2010 ALCS in which the Yankees pulled off a victory. The Mets went to "hot-lanta" to face the Atlanta Braves in which they received a small victory. The Yankees will continue their series against Texas today and tomorrow as well as the Mets against the Braves. Keep in mind that from June 17- July 3 will be inter league competition so the Yankees will be making a trip this weekend to Wrigley Field to face the Cubs while the Angels from Anaheim will travel to Queens to face the Mets. Although there are no rivalries involved, I consider this a "must-see" as it's very rare to see these match-ups.

Yankees: 37-28 (2nd place in AL East)
Mets: 33-34 (3rd place in NL East)

Alrighty then, now it's time to explain why I haven't brought up football yet in this blog. Here are the reasons why.

1. Off season
Since the NFL and the NCAA College Football are currently in their off season, there is nothing newsworthy to post. I know that FanFeedr does post stuff about the teams during off season but as I said, nothing newsworthy to post in the off season.

2. NFL Lockout
Since early 2011 after the Super Bowl has concluded, the NFL owners and NFLPA are currently in disagreements with each other. Therefore, NFL mandated a lockout which means that the employers aren't allowing the players to practice during off season. NFL is currently in jeopardy of shortening or cancelling the entire 2011 NFL Season and that's going to be a lot of money lost. However, this will not affect football fans in general since college football will still remain intact. So in case if I don't bring up the New York Giants or the New York Jets, I will talk about NCAA Football though, primarily the teams of Oklahoma, Notre Dame, and Rutgers.

I hope one day that the NFL would end their lockout and the players will be allowed to return to work as I saw the 2011 NFL Schedules of the New York Giants and the New York Jets. I could say that if this season will occur as planned, there's going to be a lot of "must-see" games to watch. However, this is not my call so all we can do now is hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

That concludes my mid-week blog. I will keep everyone posted as to whether the NFL will show signs to end the lockout or not.

6/11/2011- Lull period for the WWE and UFC, Bad week for the Yankees, Average week for the Mets

Alright then, I'm back after an unannouced hiatus that I took for a while. Please forgive me if I don't update WWE and UFC that often as its the summer season and both the industries of professional wrestling and mixed martial arts are going through a "lull period" means that during the summer season, ratings for Raw, SmackDown will likely to be lower and the PPV buyrates for both the WWE and UFC will be lower as well since fans will most likely be going out on vacation instead of watching PPVs. I will update more as WWE will start promoting SummerSlam though.

UFC is having a pay-per-view tonight called UFC 131 as Shane Carwin vs Junior Dos Santos will be the main event. As I mentioned before, Brock Lesnar was originally scheduled to fight but since he will be out of action for the remainder of the year, Shane Carwin took his place. There will be a total of 12 fights in this PPV. 5 will be aired on Facebook (and for the first time YouTube), 2 will air on Spike, while the remainder will air on PPV. If you are interested in watching the preliminaries, you can go to Facebook.com/UFC or YouTube.com/UFC. In my opinion, I believe that its a great idea to have the preliminaries scheduled to air online on YouTube because when I attempted to watch a UFC fight on Facebook in the past, my computer froze up and I had to restart it. I had no problem watching live events on YouTube before.

By the way, WWE Tough Enough has aired it's season finale, and the winner of Tough Enough is Andy Leavine. Congratulations to Andy Leavine on winning Tough Enough and for having a baby boy the same week. Part of the episode was taped while the last segment was live.

After the Yankees returned home from their West Coast tour, the Boston Red Sox treated them like living hell as the Yankees lost 3 games in a row. But then, the Red Sox are always the enemy to the Yankees. The Mets overall had an average week as they won 2 games out of 3 during their time in Milwaukee. The Yankees managed to recover yesterday as they defeated Cleveland in a blow out, while the Mets defeated Pittsburgh yesterday as well.

Next week will be a three hour WWE Raw as both superstars from Raw and SmackDown will come together for "All Star Night". Stone Cold Steve Austin will be the special guest general manager for the night.

6/1/2011- Super Blog!- I Have So Much to Say That There Wouldn't Be Enough Room to Make a Title

Alright then, I am back after Memorial Day weekend has concluded it's course. As I mentioned, this is the 1st ever Super Blog. In this edition of the NYCKNP Blog, I will be talking about WWE SmackDown, UFC 130 Prelims, Yankees, Mets, Tough Enough, WWE Raw, and more

WWE SmackDown started with Randy Orton, still World Heavyweight Champion coming out to make a promo. He is then interrupted by Christian who asks for another title shot. Sheamus and Mark Henry would then interfere to also ask the same thing. SmackDown GM Teddy Long came out and said that this is "Deja Vu" (which I definitely agree). Long proceeded to make it a triple threat match between Christian, Sheamus, and Henry for the main event. The hits of the show were Sin Cara vs Chavo Guerrero, Daniel Bryan vs Cody Rhodes (although the post match attack was bad), and the main event itself. The semi misses were the Divas match between Tamina/Alicia Fox vs AJ (from NXT 3, NOT Tough Enough)/Kaitlyn although it was nice to see new Divas on SmackDown for a change due to Layla being out from injury. Great Khali vs Kane was also boring as well, but the post match segment did serve a purpose to turn Khali back into a heel again by betraying Ranjin Singh and forming an alliance with Jinder Mahal. The one thing that made me fast forward the DVR was Ezekiel Jackson vs Heath Slater. The Corre should be renamed The Borre because they are so boring (although it's not their fault, it's management and creative). At the end of the episode, Sheamus won the triple threat match (due to Orton's interference by RKOing Mark Henry) and will face Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Championship on the next edition of SmackDown.

I didn't see the UFC Preliminaries on Facebook or watch the PPV, but I did see the Preliminaries on Spike. The preliminaries were very good fights overall and it did serve a purpose to warm up the crowd before the actual PPV. After the opening credits, Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan checked in for commentary. Both of those guys hyped up the main events for the PPV which were Quinton Jackson vs Matt Hamill and Frank Mir vs Roy Nelson, while calling the two fights that were aired on Spike. The first fight was Kendall Grove vs Tim Boetsch. Despite Grove being the taller man, Boetsch was the stronger guy in the fight (which definitely proved to be a benefit for his victory). It was an okay fight overall, but it was meant to be an undercard fight. The next fight was Miguel Torres vs Demetrious Johnson. Fast paced action from both men and Johnson managed to pull a victory, despite him being the underdog of the fight. Once the two fights on Spike concluded, Joe Rogan had an interview with Dana White. White updated the viewers at home that Brock Lesnar had colon surgery and is expected to return sometime soon. Here are the remainder of the results of UFC 130:

Tough Enough began with Andy returning to the house (although he was very pissed off due to what happened at the end of the previous episode). Luke and Jeremiah were happy that "the house is all theirs". This would mark the final 3 contestants for Tough Enough. After the opening credits, the final 3 were at the training session. No theme was used for this episode, instead a review of what everything was taught to them during the entire season. Everyone screwed up with regards to attempting a leap frog and botched a series. All of the trainers scolded them for messing up the session. I could kinda understand since it's like the semester ending and you're trying to review everything for the final exam, but there's a lot of pressure. Jeremiah called that day "a bad day". After the commercial break, the 3 went to a studio where they will be doing a photoshoot. Austin, Trish, and guest star The Miz were there to watch. Luke, Jeremiah, and Andy were given makeovers to look good for the cameras. Andy was kind of nervous, but after some advice then Andy loosened up and had fun with it. Luke was perfect on this one. Jeremiah had some shots of photos of with and without his two front false teeth. Miz via interview was shocked by it. Austin said that the purpose of the photoshoot is that for a WWE Superstar, there's life beyond in ring competition. Once the photoshoot was over, the 3 went back to the gym for more training. Booker T told them that they are all in the bottom three. Andy showed improvement in the ring. Luke did a drop kick that DeMott was impressed with, and Jeremiah was good, but was told to slow down. The next day, Austin took Luke, Jeremiah, and Andy to Mattel Children's Hospital to visit some kids at the hospital. Part of it was for a WWE Superstar, there is some philantrophy involved in it. It was nice to see the humble side of Austin for a change after a long time of being rough. After the hospital visit, Austin told the three to do a series of moves in the ring. The trainers kept quiet and just watched because this was the real test for the final 3 now. Jeremiah botched a hip toss and did an elbow drop that wasn't perfect. Austin was thinking if he's still green. He would send the three back to pack their bags and face him for the final elimination. After Luke, Jeremiah, and Andy had some moments to themselves, the 3 proposed a toast to wish each other good luck. Afterwards, they entered the "Room of Doom". Austin scolded all of the contestants, but at the end it was Jeremiah who was sent packing. Jeremiah's Tough Enough Belt was not taken , but he handed it to Austin instead, thus finishing in 3rd place. Austin told Luke and Andy that the final time the two will meet each other will be at an FCW Arena (developmental territory for WWE) and face each other in a match in front of a live audience. Austin then called for the traditional "Stone Cold beer toast" and shared a beer with Luke and Andy. This would conclude the taped portions of the season as USA Network reported that next week's season finale will be live.

After Tough Enough went off the air, Monday Night Raw would start. However, there were technical difficulties in the opening segment between R-Truth and John Cena. Audio and video were completely out of sync. WWE did acknowledge that there are technical difficulties going on. The audio sounded like I was listening to RAW on ESPN AM Radio. Once the technical difficulties were resolved, the show was decent for the most part. Alex Riley was very strong as a crowd favorite, and Kharma did indeed announce that she was pregnant and will be taking 9 months off.  R-Truth defeated Cena via countout, and it wasn't until after the match that Truth would throw soda at one of people in the audience. After RAW went off the air, this occurred:

Shifting gears to baseball, the Yankees had a tough start to their west coast tour but finished strong on Sunday against Seattle. Yankees also defeated Oakland yesterday and Monday as well. After the Yankees finish their series against Oakland, the Yankees will make one more stop of the west coast tour at Anaheim to face the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim this weekend. For the Mets, the Mets had a rough loss against Philadelphia for 2 out of the 3 games. Mets did manage to avoid being swept by the Phillies. The Mets had a victory against Pittsburgh on Monday, but lost yesterday. After two more games against Pittsburgh, the Mets will face division rival Atlanta Braves this weekend. The current standings for the two teams are:
Yankees: 30-23 (1st place!)
Mets: 25-29 (4th place)
