Hello everyone! I hope all of you are having a great week this week. As you may know, there is a major change regarding the future of this website. This website @NYCKNP Blog has now been renamed into Wrestling With GreenPinstripes. The reason for this change is because I started a Facebook page for the NYCKNP Blog. However, when I started it, it appeared as Nycknp Blog. To me, that doesn't sound right. It took a while to give it some thought, but after a few hours, I decided to rename it Wrestling with Green Pinstripes. The name became official earlier today. However, the former name NYCKNP Blog will still be used in concurrent to the new name since this is a slow transition. The former name will still be on my YouTube channel for a while until the transition is complete. With the new name, I may have multiple writers write for this site, but yours truly will still be in control.

As you all heard, Social Media SmackDown did not live up to expectations. The reason why it didn't do so well because SmackDown wasn't live at all and it wasn't considered a must-see episode. If WWE wants to do another Social Media SmackDown, it has to be a live special on a Tuesday night. That's all I have to say.
Now we shift gears to tonight. Tonight, Raw will be having a "turn back the clock night" as Monday Night Raw goes Old School. This means that Raw will have a setup similar to the early 90s and will have the original theme song:
Stars from the past and present will be there to further the storylines and pay tribute to the classic era.

Hello everyone, I hope all of you had a great weekend this weekend. I got some bad news and some good news. Let's first start with the bad news before I get to the positives, shall we? Here we go!

Usually I don't talk a lot about baseball during this time as it's Spring Training, but I have to make an exception for this one. During yesterday's exhibition game against division rival Toronto Blue Jays, left-fielder Curtis Granderson (No, this is NOT a typo. Girardi was experimenting to switch Grandy and Gardner in the outfield during spring training before the injury occured) was hit by a pitch at bat. The pain was severe enough that the Yankees coaching staff took him out of the game, and reported that he will miss 10 weeks. Freak accidents can occur at times, but what grinds my gears is how the New York media is writing off the Yankees.
First of all, I don't get why the New York media looks down at our AL and AFC team? I'm aware of the fact that before the Yankees were formed, New York City was considered a National League town as the Dodgers and Giants were the powerhouses. Once the Yankees moved to NY from Baltimore, they were considered the team that's "invading their territory". We all know that the Dodgers & Giants left NYC for California, and the Yankees were considered the only NY baseball team until the Mets were formed as an expansion team in '62. All I saying to the old school fans and media folks, MOVE ON!!! Those days are over.
The Jets faced a similar situation when they were formed in 1960 in the AFL, and fans of the NFL Giants also felt that their territory was invaded. However, that's a different story for a different time as this is a baseball topic, not football.

Tonight on Raw is the main event featuring John Cena vs CM Punk where the winner will face The Rock at WrestleMania for the WWE Championship. Also, there will be a street fight between Vince McMahon and Paul Heyman.
Later this week, it's Social Media SmackDown as social media will be involved in this week's SmackDown. Although the show is taped, this episode will feature live tweets from fans and what not. Here's a promo:
